St. Francis Xavier has implemented a mandatory Covid-19 testing policy, since Oct. 14. Students and employees are tested twice a week for COVID-19. The tests must be 48 hours apart, although those who have been vaccinated by a government-approved organization are exempt from this new policy.
Employees and students who fail to comply will receive a warning, If employees aren’t cooperative after two written warnings, the employee will be placed on an unpaid leave of absence and will be required to pay 100% of their benefits during their period of unpaid leave (St. Francis Xavier University, pg. 2).
The students who do not obey the policy will receive a written warning the first time. The second offence the student will be required to meet with Student Life and create a testing schedule to which they must adhere (St. Francis Xavier University, pg. 2). If the student chooses not to adhere to the schedule of the COVID-19 test, they will be suspended.
